Swag Plays Factorio S2 E50: Small Tweaks, Big Gains

In this fiftieth episode of Swag Plays Factorio Season 2, I dive into making small but impactful improvements to the factory. I enhance the efficiency of my new sulfur line, reduce the power consumption of my northern biodomes, and set up a second small solar array to boost power generation and storage. Additionally, I add a new research project to the queue and ponder the risks and rewards of building railways for resource transportation. Join me as I continue to optimize and expand my Factorio factory!

Swag Plays Factorio S2 E45: Mastering Fast Splitters and Tunnels for Victory!

In this episode, I automate the production of fast underground belts and fast splitters, streamlining my factory operations. I then tackle a small power crisis by adding a new set of steam turbines to the power area. Additionally, my research progresses closer to the rocket silo, bringing me one step closer to winning this season by launching a rocket! Stay tuned for more exciting updates and strategies.

Creative Engineering E23: Steam Engine at Full Power!

In this shorter episode of Creative Engineering, Swag wraps up the powerplant construction off-camera and installs the final five blaze burners to bring it up to full power. He also brainstorms ideas for the area near the egg production line and considers the building’s shape—but instead of forcing a direction, he opts for a shorter episode while waiting for the perfect design. Was that the right call? Let me know in the comments!

Swag Plays Factorio S2 E28: Robotic Roadblocks! Power Critical!

In this episode, Swag completes the setup of roboports but soon realizes he needs additional research to unlock requester chests for automating the engines in the flying robot frames area. Undeterred, he focuses on setting up personal logistics and reorganizes his research, all while recognizing how close he is to winning the game and finishing this season. To prepare for future needs, he also expands steam power to ensure ample energy for his roboports and upcoming plans, especially during the nights when solar power isn’t available to save on coal usage.

Creative Engineering E4: Preparing for Create

In today’s episode, I built a cobblestone generator, an alloy furnace, and a waterwheel power generator using the Create mod.

I started by building a cobblestone generator using iron, glass, and buckets of lava and water. This generator can produce up to 324,000 cobblestone per hour. Next, I built an alloy furnace using clay bricks and Immersive Engineering. This furnace can be used to create a variety of alloys, including brass. Finally, I built a waterwheel power generator using water and the Create mod. This generator can provide power for all of my machines.

Key Points:

  • I used the CobbleForDays mod to build a cobblestone generator.
  • I showed how to make clay bricks using dust and water.
  • I built a waterwheel power generator using the Create mod.
